This notice explains what personal data Networth Check collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It is written to meet our obligations under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

In short: we collect the financial figures you enter so we can produce your report, your phone number so we can take payment through M-Pesa, and your email address only if you ask us to send the report. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except the payment and hosting providers we need to run the service.

2. What we collect, and why

We do not ask for your name or ID number to produce a report, and we do not require you to create an account.

3. How your information is used

To calculate and display your net worth and the full report.
To take and confirm payment through M-Pesa.
To email you the report, if you ask us to.
To arrange a call with a financial advisor, if you request one.
To keep the service working and prevent misuse.

We do not use your figures for marketing, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

4. Who else sees it

Safaricom PLC processes the M-Pesa payment. Your phone number and the amount are shared with Safaricom to complete the transaction. Safaricom handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Our hosting provider stores the data on servers used to run this website.
A financial advisor receives your name, phone number and a summary of your report, but only if you explicitly request a call.

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law, by a court, or by a regulator.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider. Information is held in a database that is not publicly accessible, and access is restricted to authorised personnel.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your report figures and payment record for 24 months from the date of payment, so that we can resolve payment queries, honour requests to resend your report, and meet accounting and tax record-keeping requirements. After that they are deleted.

If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will do so, except where we are legally required to retain a payment record.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to:

be told how your data is being used — which is what this notice is for;
access the personal data we hold about you;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have your data deleted;
object to how we process your data, or ask us to restrict it;
receive a copy of your data in a usable format.

To exercise any of these, email partner@fuataapp.com. Because we do not collect your name, please write from the email address you gave us, or quote the phone number you paid with, so we can find your record. We will respond within the timeframes set by the Act.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you enter is encrypted in transit. Payment card or PIN details are never seen by us — your M-Pesa PIN is entered on your own phone and goes only to Safaricom. The database holding reports and payment records sits outside the publicly reachable part of the website.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner as required by the Act.

9. Cookies and tracking

Networth Check does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The figures you enter are kept in your own browser's local storage so you do not lose them if you refresh the page — that stays on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. You can also use the "Clear all figures" button at any time.

10. This is not financial advice

The report gives general information based only on the figures you enter. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it does not take account of your full circumstances. It is not a recommendation to buy or sell any particular product. For advice specific to you, speak to a licensed financial adviser.

11. Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete the record.

12. Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the checker itself.
